The rule number one in business is this: if you don’t make any sales, you don’t have a business. And logically, if you don’t have any customers, you cannot make any sales! First
plan your business properly and organise marketing strategically.
The key to have more customers: first you must gather information about people who will buy from you. Profile people who will show interest in your product or service and if you are going to gain this through advertising, use eye catching headings.
To get new customers, start with market research and if your target clients are companies, find out information about the companies, including the names and positions of potential buyers (i.e. the decision makers). Give them a reason why they need to buy from you and if they do buy from you save their information for future transactions. In your sales approach, you must devise a strategy to follow like a cult.
Always plan and organise your strategy before you approach a potential customer! It should include: product information, the main features of your product, the advantages of your product, the weaknesses of your competitors and the major benefits you offer.
You should provide additional information in order to convince them, however, prepare for rejection. To emphasise the key character of your competitive product or service is extremely important. And the key character of your potential customer too is imperative. In
what way does your product meet the needs and wants of your potential customer?
Know your product inside out and listen to your customer’s queries. Relating what you are selling to the customer’s needs effectively will determine how quickly you can make a deal.Kindly remember that if you don’t understand your product properly, or you cannot describe your service effectively, people won’t buy from you.
In business, time is the most valuable resource: anything that reduces the waste of that time is beneficial. If you don’t have a clue about communication, don’t waste your time in business.In addition to enhancing your communication skills, you should plan your sales strategy for each customer and be clear about what you want achieve at each transaction.
If you are selling to a group, have a clear, well worked out plan and presentation strategy. Make sure you know the decision makers in the group. You must rehearse and develop your sales approach, but you must endeavour to protect the good reputation of yourself, the product, the business, and the benefit that your potential customer will gain.
