Why You Don't Feel Good

I want to share with you the #1 thing that's getting in the way of you "feeling good."
Here it goes...
I’m telling you right now. You HAVE earned the right to feel good.
Yes, there are other things that get in the way of feeling good. BUT… if we don’t have the basic belief that we earned it, we will never accept feeling good as an option.
It can be really easy to deny ourselves from feeling good because of guilt or anxiety.
GUILT: “Well, there is so much bad happening in my world, that I’m doing something bad if I feel good. So as long as I suffer, I can be of service to others.”
ANXIETY: "Well, I am so uncertain of what I am doing and what is to come, I haven’t earned the right to feel good. So as long as I suffer, I’ll be safe.
Look, guilt and anxiety are both FEARS. Which means we fear feeling good…and that’s not fair to you!
Our birthright as a human, and our potential, is that we can feel good. We have already earned the right to feel good, simply by being born.
IMAGINE A LIFE OF FEELING GOOD MORE OFTEN.
As we allow ourselves to feel good, it changes the stories we tell ourselves. The stories then create our emotions. The emotions dictate the actions we take. Then the actions we take dictate the quality of our life.
As we practice, we become.
As we practice finding moments of “feeling good,” we will become “feeling good.” And when we feel good, we can serve the external world more.
Remember, feeling good will come and go. That’s part of the process. Emotions are designed to be transient. So, what we are aiming for is finding and accepting MORE opportunities to feel good.
Let’s practice right now:
What in your life is there to feel good about right now?
If you can’t find it right now, what might feel good or what could feel good?
NOW, offer gratitude to for the “good” thought you are having.
Let’s work on this together:
Write down one thing you earned the right to feel good about.
Include a gratitude statement: “I’m grateful that I can feel good about…”
You earned the right to feel good. So, keep practicing offering yourself gratitude for the thoughts of what you have to feel good about. As we practice, we become.
