The economies in the information age are rapidly and more frequently demanding the skills, knowledge and abilities (KSA) in all sections of modern workplaces (Morris & Beckett, 2004). According to Lee and Wolff-Michael (2006) the technological developments combined with globalization and increased competition has forced contemporary organizations to re-focus on the need for their human resource developments. Waha Capital is an investment and finance company that is witnessing tremendous pressures from constant changes in the business environments, thus demanding accumulation and development of additional skills, knowledge and abilities. The paper aims to critically analyse and discuss the use of experiences in practice settings that can possibly be used to develop the capacities to assist smooth transition for novices and newcomers to be an effective organizational member and practitioner in Waha Capital. The paper will discuss the kind of learning that are required by novices and newcomers in Waha Capital and will discuss the extent to which practice-based experiences can be effectively used and integrated in this workplace to assist in transitions to effective practice.
