Do you have a plan in place for when everything becomes too much? What happens when it seems like everything is collapsing around you and you are unab
LTN NATION! I woke up this evening from my nap feeling overwhelmed and under-loved. At times I wonder if I’m strong enough to stand up under the weight of it all. Have you ever thought to yourself this? Have you ever questioned whether you could do “something” in your life?
You have, I’m certain.
At various points in our walk with Jesus, we come face to face with our human weakness. Even Paul, as much of the warrior that he was, was forced to admit that on his own he just isn’t enough (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)
His flesh works against him when he wants to do what is good. (7:19–25 in Romans)
Each time, even though it seems like a battle between the heart and heaven, man must trust God and submit.
I am a weak person.
I mess up, say the wrong things, get ahead of myself (a lot) and sometimes hurt the wrong people for what I think are the right reasons.
I’m a whole mess.
God has been revealing my weaknesses one by one by one:
My inability to trust.
My need to be in control.
My desire to be right.
God has been peeling back the layers and making it abundantly clear that if I’m to fully step into this new season of my life I must let these idols go. I must learn how to completely trust Him.
And it is hard. It’s hard to admit my shortcomings; my flaws; my weaknesses.
With God’s help and my own determination, I can overcome my weaknesses and become the person God want me to be.
Do you have a plan in place for when everything becomes too much? What happens when it seems like everything is collapsing around you and you are unable to hold on?
Here are some tips that can help you when it all feels like too much:
Take a break: Give yourself permission to take a break when you need it. Resting and taking time for yourself can help you recharge and refocus on what is important.
Pray: Pray for strength, guidance, and peace. Ask God to help you manage your stress and give you the strength to keep going.
Seek support: Reach out to friends, family, or your church community for support. You don’t have to go through difficult times alone.
Prioritize: Make a list of your priorities and focus on what is most important. Let go of tasks or commitments that are not essential or causing unnecessary stress.
Practice self-care: Take care of yourself physically, emotionally, and spiritually. This can include exercise, healthy eating, meditation, or spending time in nature.
Read the Bible: Spend time reading and meditating on scripture. The Bible can offer comfort, guidance, and inspiration during difficult times.
Remember that it is okay to ask for help and take care of yourself. As a Christian, your faith can offer strength and hope during difficult times. Trust in God’s plan and take it one day at a time.
