3 Steps on How to Create the Change YOU Want to Make

Are you thinking about making a change? Are you already in the midst of change?
Change can take you on a roller coaster ride of fear, excitement, and other intense emotions! You may step excitedly in line to ride this daunting roller coaster but then your heart races, your palms get sweaty, and you wonder, ‘Why am I doing this? Is it too late to back out? Do I get on the ride or walk around it?’ Your friends seem like they’re having fun yet you’re terrified. What do you do?
Whether or not you choose to ride this particular roller coaster, breathe and give yourself grace to make the choice that feels best to you with the information you have right now. This doesn’t mean avoiding the fear; it may mean pushing through it because facing the fear leads to your larger goal.
Meanwhile, base those larger goals on what you want and need rather than what others may want and need from you and seek support! Find a friend, parent, or life coach who won’t judge you and has your back to come up with a plan of action. You can do this!
Three Steps to Change:
Detail your intention. What will your new job look like? What grades do you want in school? What characteristics do you want your new friends to have? What personal growth do you want to see in yourself? Be specific and don’t hold back. Dream big!
Create actionable steps. Two different people with the same goal may take very different paths. Create steps you will or can complete to drive you forward.
Authentically show up! This is the most important step. Be vulnerable, be brave, be true, but most importantly be you. Allowing your unique being to show up leads to your best possible change which becomes your new, beautiful, unique habit.
