What exactly is the soft-life trend? Is it another marketing tactic to show who’s determined so spend the most money to portray a life of ease? or is
So much has changed in the past years and the girls are tired! Between the news of inflation and the panic of a recession; all of this has birthed the soft life era . As I take a step back I can’t help but notice that society Is exhausted. So much so, that some might say that the birth of the soft life era is no more than a rebrand of the “romantisizing your life” trend.Collectively it’s clear that the pandemic shifted something inside of us. It’s almost as if it removed the fog from our eyes and reminded us of how precious time is. Between remote work and self isolation, we were all collectively put in a space to re-access our values and priorities. As we have gotten back into the swing of social norms, and one media scare after the other; the importance of our collective rest and health lingers.
So what exactly is a soft life?
To live a soft life is to live a life of harmony, peace , less stress, balance, ease, joy, rest and overall well being.
It’s important that when we talk about the idea of a soft life, that it’s clear that we are NOT discussing a life that lacks responsibility, or simply discussing an aesthetic. Living a soft life is the intentional decision to live a life of ease that prioritizes rest and joy. While a soft life is something we can all cultivate, the truth is it’s not all glitz and glamour. Cultivating a soft life requires you to intentionally take time to get to know yourself, while learning to take full accountability for your life and your decisions. Your reward on embarking on this journey of self discovery, is living your life freely and on the path of least resistance.
So I’m sure you’re wondering, “How can I live a soft life”? Below are some intentional and practical actions that you can consider implementing into your routine to cultivate a life of more ease.
