Choice & decisions form our experiences. How do you know you are making the correct one. Here's how decisions made using these tips can never be wrong
We have all faced situations where we had to choose and felt the pressure of making the right decision. Most of us weigh out the pros and cons and then take the best possible route, for those set circumstances. All this, so that we get what we want.
And in-spite of our best efforts we end up double guessing our decisions. Did I do the right thing? Should I have taken the other route? We get stuck with the ‘What If?’ syndrome.
Here’s an emotional story from a client, who has allowed me to share his experience in discovering the easiest way to make a decision. And since this experience, he has never made a decision any other way…
A few years ago ,my client was doing a job he did not like and wanted out. He had wanted out for sometime now and was frantically looking for another opportunity. After a few months of waiting and interviewing, he got an offer which he liked, it was closer to home, different pay grade… etc.
The problem – if he left his current company now he would lose out on the yearly incentive and bonus, which were due within 6 weeks. Should he stay the 6 weeks and collect the bonus but stay in the frustrated mind set? Or should he leave immediately and take some time for himself? The new company had no problem waiting on a 6 week start date.
Most of the advice he got was to stick it out, take the incentive that he had work so hard for all year round. But somehow, he didn’t FEEL RIGHT inside. All he wanted to do was remove himself from the situation that was causing him so much pain.
To the amazement of his colleagues and against his own logical reasoning, he quit. He took a 3 week vacation to Europe with his mother. It was a good time all around!
A few weeks after the vacation his mother passed away.
He says its the best decision he has taken and all because he followed what FELT RIGHT. He is so grateful to have had those 3 weeks with her and those are the memories that he recalls every time he thinks of his mother.
I get emotional every time I talk about his experience. Our choices dictate our actions, which in turn shape our experiences and how we live our life, what memories we make. So it is important that we choose wisely.
Here are 4 helpful tips to help make decisions easy and to help manifest abundance in your life:
Make the EASY decision – Life is NOT supposed to be tough.
Go with what FEELS right – If it feels like going downstream with NO resistance, that’s where you should be headed.
Go where the GOOD TIME is – does that choice sound like FUN?
Discard the LOGIC CRUTCH – Logic is overrated! And its full of other’s opinions.
So follow these tips the next time you are faced with making a decision and see the abundance follow in. Like most things we have lost touch with, this might take some practice and some getting used to. But this is the easiest way to lead a life that you want!
