You all can probably feel when a culture is truly alive within a company.
1. Become self-aware: leaders must be willing to step into the arena of self-reflection, growth, and development to lead themselves before they can authentically lead others. This doesn’t happen overnight; it takes courage, conviction, and intention
2. Define core purpose: leaders must be able to define not only their own core purpose but their business as well.
3. Walk the talk: we have all heard this before, but this means behaviors, communications, relationships, conversations, and so many others
4. Recognize acknowledge and the value each person has for your business and ensure they know what value they provide individually and collectively.
5. Embody and create a culture that employees are proud to be part of each day. Sharing the culture through core values, core purpose,

• Do you use it to help you improve yourself and walk the talk more completely
• Do you have ways to assess and measure this improvement
• Are you genuinely open to feedback? And do you act on it?
• Do you regularly share your personal values and explain how they relate to the desired culture of your business?
• Does your top leadership team have a compelling reason that is shared by all for why culture is crucial to work on and embrace?
• When you give presentations or have meetings, do you share stories about values and culture?
• Are you considering business values while making decisions?
• When you share how your decisions relate to the business values, it feeds and nurtures the culture
