Why You Should Plan a Proper Launch... Even if It Means You Must Delay!

You're so excited about your new business, you want to just dive right in without any more waiting. But not planning a proper launch will cost you.
Many new business owners will announce their idea, open their business, and turn on their website without a plan, without fanfare, without a proper launch because they don’t want the “added stress” of a launch. Sound familiar?
Unfortunately doing it that way usually falls flat and leaves new business owners feeling despair over the state of their new business. Listen, the sound of crickets doesn’t mean you have a bad business idea, it probably means you didn’t tell anyone about it!
Launches, whether it’s a new business entirely or a new product or service within an existing business, are a fantastic and strategic way to grow your community, expand brand awareness, and fuel your content marketing strategy.
A Launch is a Great Way to Grow Your Community.
People love to celebrate, look forward to something, and have an excuse to get excited. Planning a launch is a great way to grow your community. You can grow your community by getting them involved; ask their opinion, invite them to participate, offer rewards and benefits for early adoption. Your potential customers/clients will be thrilled that you value them so much to include them so thoroughly in your new idea.
A Launch is a Great Way to Expand Brand Awareness.
Ever feel like you’re posting or talking about your business too much? You aren’t, trust me. An upcoming launch is a great excuse to talk about your business frequently. And you’re going to get a free pass for talking about it a lot (even to the point of being “annoying”) because there’s a purpose behind your promotion and an expiration date. No one (well, besides your mom maybe) sees everything you create. Even if you feel like it’s a lot, it’s not. Your super fans won’t even see everything you post on social media, it’s just how timing and the algorithm works. So use the launch as a great excuse to talk about your business! Pretend that no one knows anything about your business and are seeing whatever you’re creating for the very first time; now, what do you want them to know?
A Launch is a Great Way to Fuel Your Content Marketing Strategy.
Content is king. Without content (pictures, videos, captions, articles, etc) the internet wouldn’t have anything! It would be really, really boring. Your social sites (Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, your blog, your email, etc) need you to create and share good content in order to keep users to keep using their platform. Creating new content all the time can be exhausting for even the veteran content creator. Planning a launch is a great way to infuse fresh content into your overall marketing strategy. Now you have something to talk about, your launch! And the more you can talk about it and for longer, the better. I recommend my clients to plan for a launch a minimum of 30 days ahead, with 60-90 days in advance as ideal.
