Geo-Tools in Coaching

One of the three pillars in my coaching practice are my self-created "Geo-Tools", as I call them. Find out more in this article.
Introduction
As both a highly visual learner and a conscious communicator, I found a way to combine those two realms – the spoken word and the visual image. Trough those Geo-Tools, as I call them, we get the chance to let geometrical forms guide us through a process of finding clarity and creating new possibilities. Furthermore, they bring the outcome of a coaching conversation into a visual form that can serve as a base for further explorations and deeper processes.
Coaching with Geo-Tools goes beyond the level of speaking by adding the dimensions of 2D geometrical forms and even 3D figures. There are literally no boundaries to our creativity and we might even come up with a new form and its specific use in a call together. I am in the process of constantly developing new tools, which is a creative, joyful and edifying activity.
What are Geo-Tools based on?
In general, I research about the given geometrical form at first. Most of them already have one or more meanings, reaching far back into different cultures and religions. How I use those tools for myself and in my coaching practice, might build upon those ancient symbols, while I’ve added my own component to it. Other times, I might use a certain shape, simply out of practicability for what I intend to visualize. During the coaching process, I will tell whenever I base a Geo-Tool on its ancient meaning seen from the viewpoint of Sacred Geometry.
The Duality Diamond – one of my Geo-Tools
The Duality Diamond consists of two triangles (unfortunately, I can’t include a picture in this article). The downwards pointing triangle is an ancient symbol for femininity, whereas the upwards pointing triangle stands for masculinity. From an energetical point of view, the male energy stands for the DOING while the female energy symbolizes the softer part, the BEING. Those ancient meanings I have used and transformed into the Duality Diamond, which can help us take a closer look at the different aspects involved in a given topic. Exploring those details and mapping them out visually, not only creates more clarity but as well provides the opportunity to create balance between those opposites. Ultimately, we strive for harmonizing the opposing energies, by seeing them as two ends of a spectrum instead of two separated entities. From the concept of Duality, which strives for separation, we move to concept of Polarity, which integrates, unites and harmonizes.
