There are many ways but, Kays for Lifestyle Coaching is sharing some habits that you may do and that in return worsens your anxiety level with you realizing it!
.Ignoring Your Anxiety – Your body talks to you all the time by sending you signals through pain, diseases, illnesses, discomfort, feelings, emotions and many other ways. Anxiety is one of these signals and you should not ignore it rather do your best to get that message and process it. As that message indicates you need to change something and if you ignore it, you’ll actually make it worse.
.Comparing yourself to others – Consciously or unconsciously we do it all the time for whatever reasons neglecting the fact that it also plays a vital role in accelerating the anxiety to its highest.
.Skipping meals – when you skip one or more meals it’ll cause hypoglycemia which in turn lead to irritability, nervousness, dizziness, light-headedness, and weakness.
.Craving for sugars/sweets – Sugar has the ability to temporarily suppress anxiety and tension. But studies show that it actually increases the risk of anxiety and depression in addition to other health problems and diseases which makes anxiety worse with time.
.Consuming Caffeine – did you know that Caffeine is an “anxiety amplifier” which often affects anxiety hours later.
.Eating processed food – Processed food contain additives and those promotes anxiety causing mood swings and affecting social behavior. Instead focus on your food habits and essential nutrients as they are necessary for mental health and the functioning of your nervous system.
.Less or lack of exercises – People take their bodies for granted forgetting that they’re designed to move, so if you sit down for most of your time and don’t exercise, as a result your anxiety levels will increase.
.Watching/listening to NEWS – Anxiety is characterized by excessive worry and fear; watching the news can exacerbate anxiety. As a result, it’ll leave you feel moody and anxious afterwards.
.Lack of sleep – As we all now the recommended sleeping hours are 8, getting less than 8 hours will increase repetitive negative thoughts and make it harder to let go of negative stuff and that surely add to your anxiety.
.Lack of fluids – Dehydration causes stress to your body as many people don’t like or forget drinking water as they don’t like its taste, the better suggestion would be consumed fluids or flavored water but have it anyways. Or decaf tea or coffee unsweetened. Remember that less or lack of fluids in your body will experience common anxiety problems.
.Alcohol consumption – Alcohol temporarily provides anxiety relief, making you feel happier and less anxious for some time and later it’ll increase your anxiety levels.
