Entrepreneurs should communicate from this framework
1) Be Well Read (research) and Speak from Your Experience.
2) Think through and process your talk/speech before hand (several times).
3) Be Confident and Speak as the authority and the expert on your service or product.
The Breakdown
1) Being well Read means that one has researched and studied the topic that they are going to talk about. It is important to build and develop the language surrounding the topic at hand. This can increase the “language box” or the vocabulary to speak more fluently in your conversations and presentations.
2) Think through and process your talk, know what you are going to say before you start talking about your services and how they may impact your market. Also, it is important to rehearse multiple times what you are going to say. The way you plan to deliver it. And how long will your talk be? Following these strategies reduces ramblings and many short pauses filled with “umms.”
3) Be Confident and Speak with Authority, means know that you are the expert in the room on the unique service you provide or the product you sell. Know also that the more you practice telling people about what you do, you will continue to get better and better.
These are my go to strategies for communicating clearly in regards to organizing your train of thought and executing it through speech.
Do these simple techniques and tell me if they work. Seriously, I’d like to know how you are doing. Shoot me an email and I will get back to you!
