What makes one a leader. Believe it or not. Everyone is a leader. Yes you are a leader of you own lives and business. Its a matter of choice
How do you measure success as a Leader?
1stly, what makes one a leader. Believe it or not. Everyone is a leader. Yes you are a leader of you own lives, your communities and the efforts you put into work. Its merely a matter of choice to lead.
We have a measure for being a leader which is greatly summed by this youtube we found by www.teamandleadership.com.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03o1JZ7c7gI&feature=share
Beyond that, what does it take to be a leader?
C – Courage, compassion and choice
It takes guts to stand up for what you believe in, to speak the truth when it is difficult and challenging, and have the compassion to reach out to the people who are following because you care and because it is worth your while to do so. You lead because you choose to because you really believe in the stake.
H – Holistic, and from the Heart
A leader leads from all aspects, is holistic and demands every single thing you know, it includes the emotional and rational, intuition and facts, and is a voice for every person in your community and most importantly, they lead from the heart. Look at the greatest leaders of our time like Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Theresa. What is stopping you to step up into your leadership role? Is it courage?
I- Intuition, Imagination, Impact
Great leaders know whats required because they have a great self awareness and are life long learners..they put a lot of emphasis on serving others through them not because of them. Their imagination sets the vision others want to follow suit. And they follow their intuition to create the impact they want: their deep sense of knowing plus experience: because they are aware not only of the tangible facts but also of the emotional field around them.
We are hoping for a new kind of leadership. Are you already one? or ready to be one?
