Your Voice Tone Says A Lot

Experts say communication is 90% nonverbal. Voice tone is one of those nonverbal components.
Your voice tone conveys a message more powerful than the content or the words you use. Your voice tone can be conversational and people are drawn to you and engage with you. You may sound nervous or anxious and others may feel uncomfortable around you. You may seem abrupt and turn off some. You may seem uncertain or lacking in confidence so may have a hard time convincing people or your voice might sound full and therefore convey solidness or confidence. You may be sing-songy and animated and seductive. You may speak in a monotone and bore :-( your audience. I always love a soothing voice. And babies respond well to high-pitched melodic ones.
So.. if you want to convey a message, remember it’s not just the words that matter, in fact non-verbals such as your voice tone have more power and impact.
