Develop your team building skills and apply them to every environment where you have the gift of influence
T – Time
We must be willing to invest the necessary time into the others on our team. It is also our responsibility to put in the necessary time to develop our own leadership skills. We must become the master of our own leadership journey before we can ask others to follow us.
E – Encourage
As difficult as it can be sometimes to create an environment of encouragement, it is an absolute essential in developing a quality team. No one has a natural inclination to follow those who tear them down, and if they do it is an unhealthy union. People will naturally follow those who build them up and help them to be better.
A – Ask
Our team has valuable input. If we never ask for it we create a task master and laborer scenario. We must be willing to ask and hear with sincerity the ideas of those on our team. You may just be surprised how many solutions they have to share.
M – Mentor
It is every team members responsibility to genuinely desire the positive development of the other team members. If we have a strength that someone else doesn’t have we owe it to them and the the team to teach them how we got it and how it can be developed it in them.
