My Metaphoric understanding of Coaching

I am thoughtful and mindful of the fact that one thing with which I resemble completely and soulfully is TRAVEL. The very fact that I am sitting on a vehicle and it is moving gives me a sense of happiness. As traveling is my hobby so my inner voice kept on prompting me that if I had to have a metaphor for coaching that should somehow be related to travel or journey.
After lot of journeys that I have under gone in my life be it societal, spiritual and professional. I find very strong similarities between coaching and travelling. The visuals of horse driven coach and the life coach is so identical in my mind. Taking reference from the definition of coach which is a horse drawn vehicle used to transport individual from where they are ………… To where they wish to be, exactly at this point I get my answer to the confusion that I was addressing so many days, contemplating on my metaphor in my mind.
Coach is a person who is taking the coachee from where she is ……………………. To where she wishes to be. Travelling with her, giving space to her, listening her, understanding her journey .Allowing her to speak her mind and over all to just creating an awareness of being. As the journey of coaching begins the coachee keeps on unfolding her thoughts and views on the subject which is bothering her just like the tour guide who is addressing to all the excitement, navigating with her to the avenues, being with her in the entire journey. On this journey together, the coach may have knowledge at times that will help the coachee to be more specific on the vision. Just like the tour guide who helps to observe any monument with the correct guidance.
Visiting any historical monument with a tour guide makes a huge difference in understanding the minor details as they make as aware of the areas to focus similarly addressing any situation with the assistance of a coach will surely make an enormous difference as the art with which they create space and the science which they navigate and make us aware is all about it.
