Amy Winehouse
I don’t typically do media blogging, however as I am spiritually led today in obedience, I will discuss the current news of Amy Winehouse’s death. Although the causes of her death are still yet unknown, many demonic forces may have been involved in and around this young ladies life that has now left this earth in possible distress at the tender young age of 27.
Ms. Winehouse openly struggled with alcoholism, crack-cocaine addictions, depression, eating disorders, as well as depression, and self-infliction. Not knowing this woman personally, never meeting her personally, my heart can’t help, but empathize with the demonic spiritual struggle that took place around her. Sadly Ms. Winehouse hasn’t been the only person to fall victim to the demonic forces of addiction; in fact she was only spoken or mentioned about, being that Ms. Winehouse life as a well-known musician was often in the public eye.
I could only imagine the dozens upon dozens of articles that has been written about this young lady, prior to her death taking place; however I never recall seeing not one news article that offered Jesus to her as a personal Lord and Savior. Instead her life out of remembrance has now been plastered all over the airwaves, as gossip, and with opinions that will now do this obviously hurting woman no good.
I don’t have any idea what her last moments on earth was like, or even what she may have experienced moments before taking her last breath of air on earth. My prayer is that Jesus was able to get to her in time, that somehow despite all the demonic torment Ms. Winehouse experienced, she was able to call upon the name of the lord within the spiritual compound brick room of darkness, we that have experienced drug addiction bondage are often held captive in during dark seasons of the dark addiction season we may have faced in the past. My prayer is for the ultimate best outcome of Ms. Winehouse soul, a soul that was deeply troubled in hurt and pain.
Being that we are women in recovery daily as we seek the counsel & guidance of the Holy Spirit each part of us that has been hurt, has to heal. In order for real healing to take place, the initial place where the hurt entered in at has to be dealt with first; until the initial root of pain is pulled, there can never is no real healthy progression in the recovery process. Drugs & Alcohol along with other various addictions then became a way to deal with the pain in an unhealthy way.
We that are in recovery shouldn’t take it for granted that God began the process of allowing us to discover where that hurtful root began. Ms. Winehouse wanted to live ¸but didn’t know how to, she wanted relief, yet she was tormented in her mind, in her body & soulful emotions, this personal demonic account with the realms of darkness at work in one individuals life, is no different than the man that is spoken about in the bible that roamed around the tombs cutting himself in agony, he would then often cry out while being among those tombs. He was called legion because within him the presence of the demons were many. As Jesus delivered him, he then sat a new man in his right mind.
When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid. Mark 5:15
All Ms. Winehouse needed was a touch from the most high, today we the believer in Jesus Christ has failed. There is a level of accountability that goes forth when we openly allow a person in bondage to suffer to the point of death, without any offer of prayer or deliverance spoken over one individual’s life.
Let’s us the believer allow Ms. Winehouse death to now be a wakeup call of what is required and deemed necessary by the saints of God to do. We must continue to reach out to one another, to pray for one another; to love one another as Jesus Christ has first loved us.
We can’t get through recovery alone, the enemy desires to kill, steal and destroy to sift us as he did in this young ladies life. We must not only be aware of the attack, but we must be equipped applying the word of God over any and all situations that present themselves.
Ms. Winehouse spoke through her negative choices that she needed help. It was an open outcry of desperation for help, yet we missed all of the signs. I pray that today we will become wiser and discerning when those around us are reaching out for help and love.
I love you! More importantly Jesus loves you and yes he does care.
