Here are 3 ways to improve your confidence for job interviews.
The job interview is perhaps one of the most nerve-wracking and stressful things a person can do. All kinds of fears and anxieties may be experienced by the candidate. This is normal for most of us. However, in some cases, the stress, fear and anxiety can lead to a significant drop in confidence, that ultimately could affect your performance during the interview.
Here are 3 ways to improve your confidence for the job interview:
1. Prepare as well as you can for the interview. Research the company/organisation that you will be interviewing for so that you can tailor your responses to what their needs are.
2. Know your resume/CV inside and out. In most cases, interviewers will ask you mostly about what’s already in your resume. You may simply need to clarify or explain in more detail what they have already read. It helps to bring a portfolio of evidence with you. You can use this to support what is in your resume.
3. Focus only on what you can control, which is your own preparation and conduct during the interview. You cannot control the temperament of the interviewer(s), nor can you control what they decide to do when the interview is over. Only focus on what is within your control, and try not to worry about what is not.
