Setting goals for a whole year can be intimidating. Hell, setting goals in general is intimidating. Here are three tips to help set your goals.
Setting goals for a whole year can be intimidating. Hell, setting goals in general is intimidating.
Here are three tips to help set your goals for 2022:
1. CLARITY
Get clear on what you want to accomplish and how you can track any sort of progress. You want to be very specific and tangible with the outcome of your goals. Also think about how your success will be measured so you know when to celebrate yourself along the way.
2. SHORT TERM & LONG TERM GOALS
Your overall goal is your long term goal. You will need to create a short term goal that, if done every day, it will help you reach your long term goal.
Make sure both goals are realistic and attainable. Your short term goal should be something that you can accomplish every single day. You also want to make sure you allow enough time to accomplish your long term goal. I know you wanted that accomplished yesterday, but you have to be realistic if you want to set yourself up for success.
3. SELF LOVE
You’ve got to show up and do it. This is where the self love comes from. Doing new things can be scary. Attempting something outside of your normal routine can be uncomfortable. But there’s a reason you thought of this in the first place. You’ve got to honor yourself and show up anyway because you love yourself and want this for yourself. Don’t let fear, doubt or the uncomfortable feelings stop you from taking action.
