Are your beliefs limited or your limits believed?

Your belief system influences your success in life. When you understand the power of thoughts and are aware that you can control them, you become free
A limiting belief is a thought, state of mind or belief that prevents you from moving forwards. It essentially holds you back in life. For example, you don’t have enough time to cook, so you don’t. Or you can’t start a business without experience, so you don’t. The list goes on.
These beliefs stem from the experiences you have had in your life. The things you’ve seen, the things you’ve done and the outcome of them, the things you’ve been told, the things you’ve felt. They create stories that you believe and use to base all your decisions on.
They only become ‘limiting’ when they encourage delay. A delay in you achieving your dreams, losing weight, improving your finances, being loved, seeking help, having great relationships, taking action. Again, the list goes on.
This is your minds way of keeping you ‘safe’. That story saved in your mental database reminded you that going after your dreams is not a good idea. People will reject you, judge you, not support you and you are likely to fail.
But is that really true?
None of these thoughts uplift or empower you, they’re just there to stop you in your tracks and put your life on pause. You deserve more.
When you can understand that the beliefs themselves are not limiting until you decide to believe them, you can free yourself from their trap. You can do the very thing you’ve always wanted to do. You can:
1. Make those business ideas a reality
2. Be confident
3. Go for that job
4. Buy that house
5. Start a family
6. Create generational wealth
7. Learn better time management
8. Have a better work/life balance
9. Explore your hobbies
10. Make new friends
11. Belong to a community
12. ANYTHING you believe you can.
It’s time to go to war for your life. To not be caged by these thoughts. It starts with BELIEF.
Three things you can do today to overcome the beliefs that limit you:
1. Identify – notice that the belief is actually not to protect or benefit you and figure out where it stems from (what is the source?)
2. Abolish – tell yourself that it’s not true! Just because you think it, doesn’t mean you have to agree with it
3. Replace – give yourself a different belief to believe in instead and repeat it several times
Every time a thought comes up that is likely to keep you from moving forward towards your desires, dreams and aspirations, check it. Don’t allow it to control you!
Remember that it’s not just about having limiting beliefs. It’s whether you believe them that matters.

“I am powerful way beyond my most limited belief.”
