Anxiety. We all know the feeling. It seems to comes a bit too often. But what can we do to help alleviate mild anxiety? Here are a few tips:
1. Box Breathing. Breathe out through your mouth for a count of four. Then take a breath in through your nose for the count of four. Feel your lungs expand to their fullest. Then hold for four counts and finally breathe out through your mouth for four. Focus on the air moving through you.
2. Say your feeling out loud. Acknowledging the feeling allows us to feel it and process it naturally through and out of our body.
3. Sometimes anxiety is what we feel in order to NOT feel something else. Take a moment and ask yourself. What feeling am I avoiding? Then acknowledge that feeling. The awareness will actually bring a relief.
