Don’t know where to start to be more motivated to drive your business into success. Here are 4 ways to boost your creativity and remain motivated.
As an entrepreneur, the need to be different and think outside of the box is crucial to be successful against the competition. You know you are capable, but somewhere along the line, your motivation or inspiration for creating changes is hiding away and is nowhere to be seen, you don’t know where to start.
You are not alone. Let’s go over some ideas to help boost your creativity as an entrepreneur.
1- Make It A Fun Game or Challenge Yourself
Do this by actually trying and challenging yourself or others to do better. Set a timer for ten minutes to brainstorm and see how many new things you can come up with or do. Then give each new idea a full and honest try.
2- Have Healthy Deadlines and Expectations
Don’t give yourself too many time restraints. While it is important to have deadlines to keep you on track, you can easily do the opposite if you have too many or unrealistic deadlines. You still want to be able to breathe and feel relaxed while you work. While you may think you will produce more ideas by rushing, the truth is you are not allowing yourself to realize your full potential. Please take notice of these deadlines and expectations and make sure they are truly realistic.
3- Take A Different Approach or Routine
Instead of starting your workday or routine like you usually do, switch it up slightly and try something different. Ignore your emails until the end of your day or after lunch, for example. Switching how you approach anything allows you to come at it from a different perspective giving your brain the information it needs to be more creative.
4- Expect and Don’t Fear Failure
Creativity is different to different people, depending on who you ask. This means what you create won’t resonate with everyone. However, if you always have this thought in your mind, you will only prevent yourself from achieving success.
Remember, there is no way to please everyone. Let go of these restraints and allow yourself to be wild and free of judgment during the process. In the end, only you are there during this process, and you ultimately don’t have to share it no matter how good the idea is unless you want to. However, it would be a considerable disservice to your audience not to give them the good stuff.
The next time you are in a creativity rut, give these ideas a try. Get out in nature, see what a friend or even a stranger has to say. Leave it until tomorrow. Don’t expect perfection or to know everything. Remember, you don’t need to rush the process, have fun with it.
