What does punctuality mean to you?
Once of the most professional acts a leader could have is being punctual. In my decades of experience in the Indian business environment it stands out like a sore thumb. Apologies for being negative but we have a very “chalta-hai” attitude in time keeping.
Punctuality is not just about keeping time.
It means you respect the other person’s time.
It means you are a person who keeps your word and have integrity.
It is the founding stone of a disciplined personality.
It means you respect your commitments.
The biggest asset of a Leader is her/ his time.
If you are a Leader or aspire to be one and cannot keep your word, your going to hit a wall definitely. It will be very difficult to cultivate trust and inspire your teams.
