You don't need anymore advice.

There’s a lot we can learn from others, but until we learn to pause the influx of information to include our own, we will stay exactly where we are.
I’m not a fan of Tony Robbins.
There, I said it.
I’m certain that at his core, Tony is a well-intentioned individual.
But I can’t seem to get through the thick layer of showmanship, bravado and amazingness that is “Tony Robbins” to get to the true essence of his message.
And I just don’t believe you inspire others by showing them how amazing you are.
You inspire them by showing them how amazing they are.
I’m opposed to feeding a culture of lack.
One that needs other people’s advice to thrive.
One that keeps you energetically stuck in the comparison space.
One that feels overpowering and addictive.
The thing about Kool-Aid is that it keeps you wanting more.
You finish one motivational speech and you quickly jump on to the other.
You read one book and you can’t wait to read the next.
No one needs advice.
What we need is to pause and reconnect to ourselves.
To limit the outside noise so we can hear ourselves.
To dig through the downloaded programming and discover our own ideologies.
To get curious about our thought patterns and limiting beliefs.
What we need, is to believe we lack nothing.
But here’s the single biggest roadblock.
We just don’t want to believe it.
So we search for answers externally.
We accumulate more outside influence and ideologies while burying down our own.
We idolize other people and are in awe of their successes.
We pay crazy money to feel the rush from the amazingness of others.
To witness them walk on hot coals and conquer the holy grail of mind over matter, wondering why we can’t do that too.
Further growing what seems like an overwhelming divide between us and those who can.
You don’t need to walk on fire to demonstrate courage and strength.
You do that by bravely getting to know yourself. And accepting it.
I can’t tell you how many clients in my coaching practice resist the notion that they don’t need advice. It is the hardest thing for people to accept, that they have an inner resource they hardly use. That they already have everything they need to amplify their lives and careers.
There’s a lot we can learn from others, absolutely, but until we learn to pause the influx of information to include our own, we will stay exactly where we are.
Here’s the simple truth about those we idolize, they never overlook themselves.
