What does your Learning Machine look like?

This morning, I was tuning in mbs-works on “How to be a Learning Machine with Ryan Hawk”.
Ryan shared the 4 step practical framework :
- Consumption of knowledge
- Experiment the knowledge
- Reflect & Refine
- Teach Others
I was reminded : as we take in new, old and refresh knowledge everyday. What do we do with these information? Do we pause to put some to test, to action and learn what works and what doesn’t work? Or are we simply keeping busy with many intakes and simply stopped there?
It brings me to the memories – I enjoyed doing facilitation or training for my team : one of my favourite sharing with my team :
• You learn and you absorbed 10%
• You learn and put to practice, you retained 75%
• You learn, and you share and teach others, you retained a good 90%.
Pass it on, Learning is the first consumption of your intake, digest this intake, absorb what is useful and purge out what doesn’t. Don’t stop there – share and teach another person what you have learnt. In this way, we create a bigger better society of improvement everyday.
