Why your intuition matters

Intuition is our single most powerful tool for navigating life and yet we overlook it everyday. We decided that the mind works better than our ancient wisdom that’s been handed down from our ancestors. Wisdom that connects us to our inner being, protects and shows us our natural gifts. Instead of embracing this ancient voice within us we ignore it and dismiss it as “woo woo”. Our ancestors were smart enough to listen to this voice (it’s the reason why we’re here) they didn’t just listen, they built whole altars, statues, churches to honor this voice. Our modern world doesn’t value this gift. Instead we live in fear, confusion, isolation and always looking for validation.
However, you have access to your intuition at all times. You can connect back to this voice and deepen it. When you were a child your intuition was so strong. It told you when to roll over for the first time, crawl, walk, pick up a flower, stare into your mother’s eyes and cry for help. As we get older we listen less and less to our instincts and feel less “ourselves”. We start to neglect what we want, and value what others want, we lose what truly fulfills us, we don’t trust ourselves and confusion takes over. Confusion turns into sadness, for feeling lost, sadness turns into hopelessness (will i ever find my way?) and hopelessness turns into depression. It doesn’t have to be this way, the first way to connect back to your voice is listening. When I say “voice” I mean a feeling, it starts under your diaphragm and can feel like butterflies. This feeling makes you feel expansive, energetic and inspired. You can have a thought “ I want to paint” then a feeling will follow. A feeling of light and expansion? That’s a yes! If you don’t feel much but only mental chatter that’s a no. Do this simple yes or no exercise to get you acquainted with your voice again.
Intuition is your soul’s DNA, everything that you are is written there. I believe following your soul DNA, is leading you to your highest self. Once you start listening, life becomes so much easier because you are no longer resisting and denying your truth. You’ll know what career is yours, spouse, friends, and where to live. Clarity is yours when you embrace your gift of intuition.
