How to prevent burnout and anxiety when you are going full steam to make your dreams come true
It is not uncommon for young professionals and entrepreneurs to feel anxious, stressed or burnt out when they are working at an insane pace in the direction of their goals. Read on to know what you can do to prevent such stress and maintain your pace.
1. Define a purpose – Your purpose is different from your goals. While your goals are about you, your purpose is larger than you. It’s the bigger picture. For example, your goal may be to be a the best mindset coach for women but your purpose may be to help women create an identity for themselves. The days you feel tired or low, your purpose will help you get out of bed, dress and show up. Since it extends beyond your personal goals, it can keep you motivated to work towards the goals.
2. Schedule fun time – This The stress and isolation of an entrepreneur’s life can make the journey difficult. Often we stop doing everything else when we are working day and night towards our goals. This can easily tire you mentally and physically. So always set some time of your day, having fun, talking to people who pep you up, watching a movie, playing a game, run, skate or whatever it is that helps you unwind. And don’t forget to move your body. Any form of movement releases the good, happy chemicals and keeps you in a happy place throughout the day.
3. Setbacks are guaranteed – The third thing is to accept that there will be little bumps, roadblocks and detours on the journey. Keep learning from your experiences, continue what is working and change what is not. With you eye on the big picture, keep your approach flexible and pretty soon you will be able to do what you are out there to do.
And if you are still struggling, you can always reach out to an expert, a coach like me, who can help you resolve what is bothering you so that you can keep moving forward towards your vision.
