Will a coach do it all for me?

What does a coach actually do does he coach or does he actually do the work for you?
Do coaches do it all for you?. No, they don’t like a sports coach, they coach the team, they don’t actually go out there & play the game. They give them direction, give them guidance, help them brainstorm solutions, motivate them, that sort of thing.
But no, they don’t do it, do it all for them. I had a potential client the other day, who said that? They wanted to find a coach who would do it all for them. I said, Well, no, that’s not a coach’s job. I can coach you and assist you with getting you to the solutions. But I can’t do it all for you. That’s not humanly possible, especially when dealing with dealing with a number of different clients at the same time.
So what does a coach actually do?. They help you brainstorm, they help with problems, they help you set small and achievable goals, they hold you accountable as you accountability coach and with the ultimate goal of empowering you so that you can resolve your own problems without having to come back to them again?
It’s not about making people change, as a coach, but empowering & guiding people, but ultimately they have to want to change. They have to be wanting & willing to learn. If they’re not willing to learn & change, then they’re not coachable.. That’s it.
