The Messy Experiment of Life

Are you ready to walk into the next step of your journey courageously? This article offers you faith centered inspiration to take the leap.
There are no guarantees, only experiments in life. Faith dares us to dance in the midst of uncertainty, to walk fearlessly across a teetering footbridge—its expanse wide as it sways above deep, rushing water.
Our minds tell us we will not make it, spinning elaborate tales of defeat. The aged wood planks are bound to give way under the weight of our first step. We’re going to fall and the rising waters below will consume us.
Faith leads us to precarious places—places beyond our self-constructed limitations and fears, engraved in our beings like permanent wounds. We may falter and even fall, but we need to follow the whispered voice of God. The one that urges us to remember His ever present love will not disappear after we take the first step onto that unstable bridge.
What is the bridge in your life you are afraid to cross? What is on the other side of that bridge that’s worth the risk?
Life is an experiment. A messy, complicated one. It’s a spiritual science project, testing and exploring outcomes not with beakers and lab coats, but with courage, faith and trust in our loving God who will never leave or forsake us.
Prayer & Meditation
When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty,
you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up;
the flames will not consume you. Isaiah 43:2 (NLT)
Lord help us to step bravely into the unplanned and unintended path You may be calling us to. Help us across the unsteady bridge, hold our hands and keep us from looking down. Fix our eyes upward, focused on You as Your light and love guides our every move. Amen.
