The Meaning of Success in the Modern World

If you are living your entire life to fulfill someone else's idea of success, it is time to re-evaluate.
Are you SATISFIED with your legal career and the direction in which it is headed?
Do you feel your actual potential is not being recognized by your employer?
Have your peers moved far ahead of you in the CORPORATE LADDER?
Ever wonder what’s holding you back?
Do you feel you cannot talk to anyone about these concerns in your office or even to your friends?
If these thoughts have been occupying your mind, have you considered speaking to a professional who has been through these beats?
The fundamental question any executive coach would ask you is: What does Success mean to you?
“I wish I was as successful as him or her".
“Once I become successful, I will start living my life”.
“All I want from life is to be successful".
Do these statements sound familiar?
Thousands of people wake up everyday and go to work thinking, hoping & dreaming of success.
But very few pause to think – what does success actually mean & who gets to define it?
For many, success looks like owning a house, cars, taking annual vacations to Europe, buying fancy clothes & latest gadgets.
For those less conventional, success looks very different. They wish to travel the world, see 100 countries before 40 & make friends in Alaska, Botswana, Chile to name a few.
For some, it can be a hybrid of both – part hippie, part investment banker!
There is NO right answer to this question.
Success is a TOTALLY subjective concept.
Each person gets to define what ‘success’ means to them – not by following Instagram influencers or family expectations – but by digging deep INSIDE and finding out what makes them really fulfilled?
When was the last time you PAUSED on your commute to work and asked yourself – what does success really mean to ME?
Or are you just waking up every day and fulfilling someone else’s idea of what success looks like?
