The Power of a Peaceful Mind

It’s very important to have peace to know what to do, and have the power to do it. Being in a peaceful state is already half the battle.
What is the common thread in happiness, health, and wealth? I found that laughter, enthusiasm, energy, and peace of mind are all common elements.
What’s an essential quality of the past and the future? It is the quality of now. If today is good, tomorrow you will have a good yesterday. Wherever you are, be there. Smell the roses. Start from something very small like drawing pictures, sewing clothes, washing dishes, cleaning your house, or organizing things. It will give you a sense of accomplishment and help you feel more in control.
Forgiveness, gratitude, trust and love will bring you peace, balance, and stability. Let go of hurt feelings, and let God take care of the rest.
You can use some of the following practices to help you on a regular basis.
Prayer: A conversation with God, or a solemn request for help or expression of thanks, addressed to God. You can do it anytime, anywhere, and for as long as you want.
Meditation: Relaxing your mind to regain your energy. The recommended amount of time spent meditating is twenty-four minutes, as we have twenty-four hours in a day.
Mantra: A calming word, thought, or phrase repeated silently. This is very useful in preventing distracting thoughts.
Yoga: Healthy posture plus mindful meditation. When you do yoga, you practice breathing and your body is in slow motion. You can’t change direction if you are at a high speed. When you don’t know where you need to go, you need to slow down or even come to a complete stop.
Three Things to Remember
1. Nothing good will come if you are not in the proper mood and a peaceful state of mind.
2. When you notice your emotions are not stable, take a break, interrupt your thoughts, and occupy your mind. It can take time, but it’s worth it.
3. Prime your future experiences. Create positive experiences now because they will affect your future.
