What can we do to have more Resilience

A few great tips to help you have more resilience right now!
Today I attended a Webinar about resilience. I thought to myself, that could be kind of handy in our current time. I wanted to provide a couple of key take-a-ways I thought could be useful for my readers.
First things first, self-care:
Sleep: Stick to a schedule:
*Go to bed at the same time
*Get up at the same time
*Don’t beat yourself up if you aren’t perfect, aim for 80%
Work out and exercise regularly
*This is different for everyone, make sure not to overdo it
*Walking is something almost anyone can do
*Double duty: Yoga/Tai Chi, both exercise and relaxation!
*Don’t beat yourself up if you aren’t perfect
Eat Well!
*Try to eat well, regular meals and foods that are good for you (and are tasty too)!
*Don’t beat yourself up if you’re not perfect
*Make time for yourself/Create Boundaries:
What were you doing and loving prior to Covid? Can you still do some form of it now? You may have to make some changes, but find some things to do for yourself that you enjoy.
Make sure that you have good boundaries with your housemates. Let them know if you need space.
Don’t beat yourself up if you aren’t perfect
Ask for help if you need it!
If you are feeling overwhelmed, please ask for help, you aren’t weak if you ask, you are strong because you know what you need
There’s lots of different help available in these interesting times, reach out, even if only to a friend
Don’t beat yourself up if you aren’t perfect
Please note the final line of every part of self-care. We ARE living in times that are challenging, you don’t have to go this alone.
A couple of other reminders:
*This to shall pass
*Don’t let your storytelling make it worse than it is
*It’s not personal
*Practice Self Compassion
And don’t forget, people do care, most of all me.
