Discovering IKIGAI

IKIGAI is a Japanese concept that means “a reason for being”. The word refers to having a direction or purpose in life.
Some important questions to reflect:
What do you love?
What would you love to do even if you don’t get money or anything in return?
What aspects of your life bring you into your heart?
What makes you come alive?
What are you deeply passionate about or excited about?
What are you good at?
What are your inherent talents or skills?
What do you excel at even when you aren’t trying?
What you can do the best in the world?
What are you paid for?
What service, value, or offering do you bring, or could you bring, that brings value to others?
Something people need and are happy to pay for or share some value in exchange?
What does the world need?
What breaks your heart or pulls at your gut?
What change would you most love to create in the world
What would you give your life for?
Some more questions can be considered
What is that you do which makes you forget time?
It could be gardening, workout, painting, teaching, writing, exploring.
What do you love so much that you are willing to sacrifice your sleep or food for it?
What is it that others say that you are really good at?
What problems have you solved for yourself that you can solve for others?
What are the problems that you hate others to face?
Don’t ignore problems that seem to you as. A very small problem.
What skills have you acquired that can be helpful for others!
Some unique skills like branding, cost reduction, team management, project management, leadership etc
Sharing my IKIGAI Discovery
1. What do I love? (Passion)
– I love investigating and understanding people (Detective of Perspective =D), traveling, planning.
– I love psychology and psychometrics.
2. What am I good at? (Vocation)
– I am good at organizing and utilizing.
– I am good at research and building relations.
3. What am I paid for? (Profession)
– I am paid for Coaching and Consulting.
– I am paid for being a trainer or facilitator.
4. What does the world need? (Mission)
– The world needs quality education (Independent thinking)
– The world needs life skills.
