About Me

Whitney L is an Arkansas native. Her goal of entering the counseling field was driven by her passion to help people and be the voice for the unheard.

She currently works in the Behavioral Health industry at several hospitals in Arkansas.

She graduated from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology (2010) and Master of Science in Addiction Studies (2013). She attended Capella University to obtain her certificate in Contemporary Theory in Mental Health Counseling (2017). Whitney is certified as a Level 1 Life Coach (2022) through Certified Life Coach Institute. She currently attends Walden University working towards her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision.

Whit’s Corner was inspired by the need to provide resources to communities and programs that will involve men, women and children from various cultural backgrounds. As Whit’s Corner grow so will the outreach to the communities. The need for mental health advocacy is growing to address the stigma, lack of awareness, and limited access to treatment.

At the end of the day she reminds people, “I’m serious about my health, my mental health!” Join in to bring awareness to mental health.
