About Me

I am a certified holistic life coach and mind-body practitioner, who works with people who are lost in unhelpful patterns of thought or behaviour. I help to create an awareness of how the stories we create about ourselves are quietly (or sometimes very loudly) running our lives.

And if there is one thing I am very familiar with, it is stories, and the power they have over us. From the tales that were read to me as a child, to the fibs I used to tell my brothers, the books I read myself, the yarns I have spun for my own children, and ultimately the decades I have spent working as a journalist, writer and editor, stories have always been a big part of my life. Narrative as a narrative thread, so to speak. And why not? After all, there are so many great stories out there.

While I continue to consume and create stories with joy, I have also come to realise that the most fantastical are those we tell ourselves – about ourselves. The ones that often leave us feeling frustrated, helpless or just plain stuck. It is these stories I will help you to uncover in our work together. Because until you understand what you really believe about yourself, it can be hard to move forward.

I also come at this work with my own past. With my own bag of tales. A potted version is that I was born in Britain and lived in cities in a number of countries before making Berlin my home and the place where I have raised my five children. It was when one of them was given an unexpected medical diagnosis that I decided to start exploring how our thinking can play out in our bodies, and that ultimately led me to retrain and start this fascinating and life-changing work.

I am well equipped to combine my own experiences of overcoming difficulties with an understanding of both story and people in order to help you understand what is really driving your thoughts and behaviour.
