About Me

My name is Susan Catherine Keter. After graduating from university, I had a short career as a secretary before I quit my job to be a stay-at-home mom (SAHM). I was at home for 12 years then started the journey to rebuilding my career.

I didn't just wake up one day and everything fell into place. I evolved as I learned and grew. I didn't set out to become a coach. I knew that I was passionate about helping people to transform their lives. I had battled depression for years and overcome. What I had no clarity about was the form that help was going to take.

I started out in the mental health field. I undertook training in basic counseling skills and in providing mental health services at community level.

I had a successful career working with people who were living with different mental health conditions. I headed an organization for mental health consumers, led support groups for people with depression and other mental health conditions and provided psycho education at community level.

Investing in life coaching as I sought clarity for my own life set me on a path I had not anticipated. Finally I had found my calling. Why did I settle for business coaching?

First, because my journey to building a career outside formal employment after 12 years as a SAHM made me passionate about working with people who desire to be successfully self employed.

Secondly, I built a number of businesses as I sought to become successfully self employed. It took me unnecessarily long and led to wastage of resources, which could have been avoided had I worked with a coach.

I conduct one-on-one sessions with individuals, facilitate group sessions and give motivational talks. I have 12-week programs for those who desire to shorten their learning curve as they turn their skills into businesses. I contribute business related articles for Hustle, Standard newspaper.
