About Me

I have 10 years previously teaching special needs children and 12+ years of experience as a mental health social worker working with families, school aged children and adults. My training includes a BA degree in Psychology from the University of Toledo and Master of Social Work Degree from Youngstown State University. I am transitioning from the clinical mental health model to a coaching model to help more clients.

Previous work with clients included trauma focused cognitive behavior therapy techniques, client centered and solution focused therapy techniques, mindfulness for stress reduction, motivational interviewing. I don't discriminate by religion, race, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation. I am an English speaker and would have to limit clients fluent in English so that each client's needs and preferences are clearly understood. I value the transformational change that can be seen in clients who take an active interest in growth for themselves.

Everyone has a personal journey in life. My journey began as the youngest child born to parents who were both the first college educated members of their families. I have a deep and heavy bag of strategies to help people find their inner strengths, some of those strategies are subtle and others are blunt to save time. Whatever your communication style and preference is will determine the structure of your coaching plan. No two clients are alike, and I do not cookie-cutter my treatment planning as each person has unique gifts and challenges to overcome. I look forward to meeting you on your level and helping you to achieve what it is you truly want in this life’s moment.
