About Me

My inspiration is to help others nurture inner peace, and cultivate inner transformation. Facing experiences such as trauma, depression, anxiety, illness, suicidal thoughts, interpersonal conflict, crisis, grief, loneliness, or fear, we all have the capacity to heal through the discovery of our unshakable peace of mind. Personally, I have overcome (for example!) years of depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and feelings of inadequacy by nurturing this inner sanctuary—which is one we all share.

With over two decades experience as an individual counsellor and a strong academic background, my skills offer this kind of holistic support and guidance. Holding a master's degree in counselling, my background spans psychology, transpersonal counselling, and PhD-level mind-body/integrative medicine research. My career has allowed me to work in diverse settings, including a private practice, nonprofit organizations such as women's crisis centers and emergency shelters, hospitals, and university counselling centers. These experiences have strengthened my passion to work with adults across the lifespan as well as youth, addressing a wide range of concerns.

My approach integrates mindfulness, trauma-informed care, somatic counselling, relaxation and meditation techniques. I specialize in supporting individuals through stress and crisis, anxiety, depression, grief, chronic pain, physical illness, disillusionment, and life transitions. By fostering a therapeutic alliance built on trust and empathy, I hope to empower others on their path to transformation and healing.
