Brought up on a diet of milk, pasta, bread, pizza, cakes, Oreos, Kool Aid, Cocoa Cola and luminous pink Angel Delight, unsurprisingly I suffered of a low immune system, caught tonsillitis 6 times per year and was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis at 13 years of age.

I refused to take the medication prescribed - believing there must be a better way to manage the condition.
Ten years later, my mother died of cancer and I asked the doctor what caused cancer and he said,”Well, its the junk food we eat.”
I decided to learn more about food and exercise and qualified in the N.A.B.B.A. Advanced Personal Trainer Diploma
as well as a Diploma in Advanced Nutrition For Optimum Health

I had all the knowledge but struggled with applying the knowledge….

I was emotionally eating foods that reminded me of my mother.
I also had sever ulcerative colitis flare ups that required hospitalization and steroid medication. These two lead to weight gain.
I decided to go for a gastric band… and I am in the minority percentile that put on weight despite having a band!

At my highest I was 88kg.

I discovered weight lifting and natural foods… vegetables…lean proteins… and I steadily improved my health, immune system and I am now 64kg - but that is not the point.

Excess fat is a symptom of an underlying issue.
