I’m a writer, small business coach, and expert brand strategist living near Asheville, a sweet town nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.

I've coached hundreds of individuals and many, many teams. I successfully scaled my small business to a multi-six-figure agency. Shelly Jackson Buffington, MBA, CPC is the co-founder and Executive Director of the award-winning branding agency The Look & The Feel®. Since co-founding The Look & The Feel®, Shelly scaled the two-person boutique studio to an award-winning, full-service six-figure agency working for clients of all sizes including Coca-Cola, City of Atlanta, and other nationwide brands.

With nearly 20 years of proven experience working in communications, marketing, and community engagement (with significant experience in the nonprofit and fundraising world), Shelly is a valued consultant and coach for women business owners who desire more success without added stress and burnout.

Drawing inspiration from mindfulness, nature connection, and contemplative walking and writing, Shelly helps people feel more confident and connected in their personal and professional lives. The blend of her interests and background results in a gentle approach to taking care and living and working with intention and authenticity.
