About Me
I moved to Los Angeles to begin work as a marriage & family therapist, with a private practice in Beverly Hills. After a few years, I left my practice to live abroad, and began writing full-time - authoring 2 books and writing features for magazines and newspapers. Since, my career has unfolded into a wonderful fusion of storytelling - in print, new media and film. I have returned to my roots as a psychotherapist to bring together my communications savvy and more than 2 decades of experience as an entrepreneur and indie professional.
I help clients to transform difficult business and personal relationships, and create action plans to overcome obstacles like gender politics, power struggles, passive-aggressive or abusive personalities, 'clients-behaving-badly'...and much more! My practice is designed to address the special needs of indie professionals and entrepreneurs.
What we put out into the universe through our words is one of the most powerful tools we have as individuals. But often we silence ourselves because we don't know what to say, or we want to avoid conflict, or for self preservation - in both personal and business situations. Changing how we communicate will transforms your life.
I will help you to understand the power dynamics operating in your relationships and show you communication strategies to create a healthy balance that honors your goals and needs. My approach is self-referencing, organic, and boosts confidence, mastery and ease with every interaction.
I am a graduate of Washington University, in St. Louis and Kent State University, where I completed my master's in counseling. I absolutely love this work! It's been my calling since childhood. I know how isolating being an entrepreneur or indie professional can be. So I am honored to share my talents in this way.
