About Me
I have ADHD myself and so do all 3 of my sons. One of my sons has Autism and ADHD with significant behavioral challenges. One of my sons has dyslexia in addition to ADHD. One of my sons had a TBI at one month old and has hydrocephalus, a VP shunt, and epilepsy. I understand firsthand the unique challenges of parenting children with additional needs and the challenges involved in finding the right kind of help.
I was a certified preschool teacher and child development specialist for the past 14 years. I have worked with children from infancy through middle school. I studied Sociology, Social and Interpersonal Studies, Early Childhood Education at American River College before I moved to Sacramento State University to study Child and Human Development in combination with my teaching credential program. When life threw a curve ball at me and I was diagnosed with a chronic illness, I decided to pivot my career from teaching to coaching and consulting with other families and helping them through their struggles. When I was struggling with my kids and finding resources, the one thing I wanted more than anything was to talk to someone who had been through it before. Who had struggled and came through the other side.
I can help you because I have been there before myself. I understand the teacher's perspective as well as the parents. I can help you achieve the results you want. Whether it is dealing with burnout and feeling stuck, partnering with your therapist, or tackling the IEP process. I custom tailor each coaching plan to suit your needs and get you the results you want with sliding scale pricing available. Everyone deserves to get the help they need and money should not be an obstacle that prevents you from getting the help you need.
As parents of children with additional needs, we often put everyone else's needs ahead of our own until we stretch ourselves too thin and burn out. Get help from someone who gets you and understands your unique struggles.
Reviews
Renee was so great to work with. She kept me focused and on track and helped me work through my enormous to-do list. I was so overwhelmed and I didn't know where to start. She is so insightful and wise. If you are feeling stuck and not sure where to start, book an appointment. It's so worth it!
