    About Me

    I coach finance leaders and entrepreneurs who are constantly overwhelmed, spending their time driving every single decision in their organization. Their teams don't take any initiative and continuously come up with problems. They spend all their time putting out fires and have barely time to do their work.

    I have been there myself, feeling alone at the end of the day, working late hours, not seeing my family, and accumulating a lot of stress that affected my relationship with my colleagues and team. Until the stress and fatigue almost caused me to lose my job.

    That's when I decided to change my approach to get different results. I tried a lot of approaches and some worked while others created even more problems. I soon realized I didn't need to be the hero that would save my team, that would have all the answers and all the solutions.

    Out of my 25+ years as a Finance Executive in multiple countries and industries, I discovered 4 principles that help me adjust to different teams and cultures: the Passenger Principle, the Purpose Principle, the Growth Principle, and the Master Principle.

    Once applied these 4 principles allow the leader to empower their team to let them drive the day-to-day, while he focuses on the strategic aspect of his role. He gets the clarity and time to finally work on his business (rather than in his business).

    I have been coaching and mentoring leaders throughout my career helping them grow to their full potential. A few years ago in the middle of a progress review with one of my managers, I realized that more than playing with Excel files what I loved about my work was helping people grow their careers.

    I soon decided to start coaching managers outside my organization working with Finance, Engineering, and IT professionals. More recently I felt I needed more structure and tools so I became a Certified Executive Coach from the Center of Executive Coaching.

    Before working with Remi, I was impatient with my team when they were not productive and I was quick to give up on them. Remi taught me how to give feedback to my team and take the steps to help improve my team's performance. I can see now that communicating effectively and taking the time to train and coach a team member will give them the opportunity to improve on their performance.
