People know me now as a highly sought-after motivational speaker, a successful entrepreneur and the author of a best-selling book on succeeding in business and life. But that’s not where the story starts.
I was born completely blind. I was the kid that had big dreams and believed life could be more, not only for me but for others. After college, life beat me up pretty good. I gave up that dream and took a dead-end job that made me miserable. After deciding I would rather be broke and free than unfulfilled, I quit that life-sucking job and started my own business. I had no idea how to sell anything, run a business, or be a successful entrepreneur. I failed spectacularly in the first 2 years in business. I made just about every mistake there is to make. Finally, I met a coach who changed my life. He gave me the guidance and tools I needed to turn my failing business around. With the right mentorship I went from being in the bottom 100 agents out of more than 700 to #1 in one year. My business and relationships improved drastically.
