About Me

Nelson has had a varied career. He began his professional path in 1999 as a graphic designer working for small and large digital agencies in New York City. In 2001, he joined the US Marine Corps Reserve and served a deployment in Iraq.

By age 31, I had co-founded my first company, Talos Digital, a software development agency with offices in the U.S., Canada, and Colombia. My company grew exponentially, at some points employing 80+ people.

After several successful years of growth and significant revenue, I came at a crossroads. The success I was experiencing had exceeded my wildest expectations. Despite this, I became overwhelmed with persisting feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt. I eventually made the decision to step away from my business and focus on my mental health.

In 2018, after some time to travel and self-reflect, I came across coaching. I knew that coaches had a keen ability to ask powerful and thought-provoking questions. After a few weeks into training, I knew this was his new path.

Today, I am a certified professional business and leadership coach. I am also a certified Energy Leadership® Master Practitioner, a process that develops a personally effective style of leadership that positively influences and changes not only yourself but also those with whom you work and interact, as well as your organization as a whole.

With the Energy Leadership Development System®, I work with people to create awareness of how they lead themselves and others during everyday circumstances and moments of stress.

My clients and I are working together to specifically identify and coach the gaps and strengths in areas of leadership, emotional intelligence, communication, time management, and productivity. I partner with individuals and organizations to unlock their personal leadership potential.
