About Me
Does this sound familiar? You struggle staying organized? You don’t have confidence leading your staff? You have trouble earning respect from co-workers? You don’t know how to lead meetings? You don’t handle conflict well? You need help holding others accountable? You have trouble motivating employees to perform? You don’t know how to give your boss what they need? You don’t know how to delegate?
Or, you simply just feel lost being a manager?
First of all, don’t feel alone. I’ve been where you are. I was so totally unprepared for my first Supervisory position all those years ago. I had become very good on the technical side of things and was the “go-to” person for everyone’s questions. I could help my teammates resolve problems and became somewhat of an expert at what I did. So, when a Supervisory position opened up, the logical thinking of my boss was that I could step in and assume that role and lead people. Seems logical, but I had a lot to learn. Quite honestly, I didn’t really know anything about how to be a Supervisor. No one taught me. No one shared a manual with me on “how to” lead others. Over many decades, I simply had to figure things out. I read a lot. I attended seminars. I listened to so-called experts. I watched other leaders and tried to emulate traits that I liked, and I also tried to remember what NOT to do for those traits in other Supervisors that I didn’t think were effective. But, mostly I learned from the school of hard-knocks.
I can tell you that it is very common for new and inexperienced managers to struggle and make mistakes. It is a very difficult transition from becoming “one of the team” to actually supervising a team. Now, you are transitioning from not only worrying about your own duties but also those of the individuals on the team and the team as a whole.
Let me use my 35+ years as a Supervisor and Manager, in the Corporate World, to help you increase your confidence and become a better leader.

"I cant begin to thank Mike for the countless hours spent on listening and guiding me along the right paths. I cant imaging where I would be had our lives not crossed.
