About Me
I coach high-achieving women with trauma who want to unlock their careers and relationships. If you have trauma in your past or present, it's normal to see monsters in every shadow and to doubt your worth. PTSD makes simple tasks overwhelming and new ideas frightening, a recipe for career stagnation. And in relationships, trauma transforms connection into anxiety.
Many high-performance women believe that trauma is something they should just grin and bear. But you can have a brilliant career and an expansive personal life. The reason you don't have these qualities now isn't your fault--it's just how trauma works on the brain. Trying to make progress when you have PTSD is like painting a house with a shaky foundation: it looks good for a while, but you know that sooner or later, you'll reach breaking point. That's why traditional career coaching or corporate trainings haven't worked for you--they're not what your brain needs.
Luckily, my "PTSD Recovery" protocol provides the gentlest and most effective method that leads to a PTSD-free life. It lasts just 12 sessions, with no gory details, prolonged coaching, or endless expense. We work step by step through the trauma-generated beliefs holding you back, how you came to believe them, and we generate evidence *against* those beliefs. Then comes the fun part: identifying the beliefs you *want* to live by.
After completing "PTSD Recovery," clients describe how trauma becomes a boring memory. What feels real to them post-PTSD is trust, rock-solid self-worth, and a profound sense of safety--the building blocks of professional and personal expansion. I do this work because I get to hear brilliant women say, "thank you for giving me my life back."

VerifiedMeredith is amazing. Don't know what else I can say. She's kind, warm, a great listener, and extremely knowledgeable. I couldn't be happier with my sessions and progress with her. I'm looking forward to who I will be when we finish the work! :-) 10 out of 10.

I've had my fair share of coaches throughout my life, and on one comes near Dr. Shepard. She asks the most insightful questions, holds space both for being challenges and feeling safe, and has completely changed my mindset, multiple times. Could not recommend enough.

I am the mother of a wonderful but very challenging son and used to hold a high-stress management position. Over the years anxiety and stress slowly crept up without my really recognizing how debilitating it was. Eventually I noticed I was limiting my enjoyment of life (to put it mildly). I found it difficult to be comfortable in my own body. I experienced a lot of self-doubt, fear of the unknown, and anxiety about the future. Then I enrolled in Dr Meredith Shepard's PTSD Recovery workshop. From the first session I felt a sense of relief and comfort that felt new and very welcome. Dr Shepard guided me in the most gentle and positive process, uncovering experiences that had been holding me back and exploring new, healthier ways to feel. By the end I felt entirely differently about myself and the world. I feel comfortable in my body, able to accept the unknown, and much calmer about the future. With Dr Shepard's help I came up with an image of myself (as a cool cat) that has helped me to keep this feeling alive. It has been months since I took this workshop and I feel wonderful -- and have made some very healthy changes in my life.
