About Me

I understand through personal experience how the caregiving role can overwhelm couple roles and self-care. My wife and I are parents/guardians/caregivers of our adult son, who lives with Autism-II and other cognitive challenges. While there are many resources for people with special needs, there are not always accessible resources for the people caring for them. I'm a coach because I want to protect couple relationships and the personal resilience of people caring for people with special needs. I help my clients reconnect with themselves and what matters most to them. I help them align to their North Star and set a course towards personal growth...even in the most challenging times.

I have significant experience working with individuals and couples through my 22 years of Naval service as an advanced practice board certified chaplain and two years as a licensed professional counselor (board certified-telemental health). I am a certified facilitator with Prepare and Enrich, a global organization committed to building healthy and resilient relationships through evidence-based skills and insights, and an educator for the Prevention and Education Program curriculum. Additionally, I am a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) Practitioner. I am a Board Certified Coach through the Center for Credentialing and Education.

I am a lifelong learner, seeking to grow as a person and to enhance my capacity to serve others. My educational credentials include a Master of Divinity Degree in theological vocations and a Master of Arts Degree in professional counseling. I am also a PhD Candidate in a counselor education program.

When working with clients, I pull from my rich combination of formal academic training, technical skills, and lived experience to support my clients' goals for themselves and their relationships. I want to help clients be their best so they can experience the most in their relationships!
