Hi My name is George Wayne Proctor and I received career coaching from Martin Hahn when I was trying to enter the international teaching market. Previously to this, I had only worked for small local schools and I felt my career was going nowhere. After consultation with Mr Hahn, he very carefully guided me to secure an international teaching position with a reputable school. After just a couple of years, I became the head of my department earning a top salary for my position. Mr Hahn gave me many ideas as to how I could improve my networking skills and this led to not only better performance but also financial rewards within the institution. To this day I am still using Mr Hahns ideas and skills to reach my full potential as an international high school teacher. G Proctor

As someone who recently engaged with my colleague in business communication coaching, I found the experience to be incredibly beneficial and transformative. The structured approach of the coaching sessions guided me through a profound reflection on my career trajectory and communication strategies. Firstly, the coaching sessions prompted me to evaluate my career progression critically. The question "Has your career improved?" served as a catalyst for introspection, leading me to recognize both my achievements and areas for growth. Through this self-awareness, I gained clarity on where I stand in my career and identified tangible steps to advance further. Furthermore, the coaching process facilitated the development of a robust plan for my future career. By addressing questions such as "Do you have a better plan for your future career?" I was encouraged to set clear, achievable goals aligned with my aspirations. Through strategic guidance and constructive feedback, I formulated a roadmap to navigate towards my professional objectives with confidence and purpose. In terms of job performance, the impact of the coaching was palpable. Through targeted communication strategies and skill-building exercises, I noticed a significant enhancement in my ability to articulate ideas effectively, collaborate with colleagues, and navigate challenging workplace scenarios. The question "Has your performance in your job improved?" prompted me to reflect on these improvements, reinforcing my commitment to continuous growth and development. Lastly, the coaching sessions inspired me to envision a trajectory for long-term career progression. By addressing questions like "Do you have a plan to progress your career in your future?" I began to explore avenues for advancement, whether through acquiring new skills, seeking leadership opportunities, or expanding my professional network. Armed with newfound confidence and strategic clarity, I feel empowered to pursue my career aspirations with purpose and determination. In summary, engaging with my colleague as a business communication coach has been instrumental in reshaping my approach to career development and communication. Through thought-provoking questions and expert guidance, I have gained invaluable insights, honed essential skills, and charted a course for success in my professional journey. I wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone seeking to unlock their full potential and thrive in today's competitive business landscape.

I am the owner of a small, but very successful, IT consulting firm and was struggling with retaining my best employees. A friend referred Martin to me, so I contacted Martin to help. After some initial discussions, he asked if he could speak with my employees, as well as interviewing me. I was hesitant at first but he convinced me that the only way to understand the problem was to get input and insight from all sides. That was first key piece of advice. What followed was several weeks of interviews my employees after which Martin presented the results. Without going into too many details; the key issue was my lack of EQ and aloofness. By nature, I'm not a sociable person. I'm not anti-social, I attend parties, events, and meetings and mingle and socialize but I prefer not to and don't do it often. I also, don't show interest in other people's personal lives; low EQ. I was defensive initially, but Martin was patient and helped me open my eyes and be more self-reflective. He made it clear that I had to show more interest in my employees lives so that they feel they are appreciated for more than just their work. Martin and I went through many mock sessions with me being the boss and Martin being an employee. He altered his character frequently so I could learn how to sense and react to the situation in a more personal manner than I would normally do. He taught me to learn the little things like, not just saying good morning and heading to my office immediately, but to stop and have a small conversation, and maybe ask about the employee's spouse or family, or tell him/her I really liked the idea they brought up in a prior meeting. Again, these small actions that aren't important to me but are to other person. It took me a few months to understand how to do this effectively and incorporate it without it being fake. Which isn't easy because I'm still a private person and don't socialize. My retention rate has improved dramatically and as a consequence my profitability has improved and my business has grown rapidly.
