    About Me

I'm a coach and psychotherapist guiding women through life transitions. With nearly two decades of experience, I help women rediscover their true selves, build confidence, and find clarity.

My coaching philosophy is rooted in positive psychology, mindfulness, and transactional analysis, guided by the ICF Code of Ethics. I believe in each individual's potential and strive to create a nurturing environment for growth.

I bring a science-backed approach, continuously learning and integrating techniques from my experience in psychology. My journey began with a psychology degree, followed by research roles at the NHS and Bangor University. I then trained as a positive psychology coach through an ICF-accredited program.

My coaching process is personalized and holistic. I start by understanding your unique journey, challenges, and aspirations. Together, we craft a tailored plan leveraging my expertise. Whether you're experiencing an empty nest, a career change, or a relationship transition, I'm here to support you.

I founded a successful psychotherapy clinic and my own coaching practice. I've also started Optimal Life HQ, an online school offering courses on mental health, well-being, personal growth, and coach training.

I walk the talk, integrating secular yoga and mindfulness into my routine. This approach enriches my life and connects me deeply with my clients.

What inspires me most about coaching is witnessing my clients' transformation. Seeing someone blossom into a confident, thriving individual is profoundly rewarding. Supporting women who have lived for others, helping them flourish, is especially heartening.

Outside of my professional life, I explore new wellness practices, read, and spend time in nature. I also love spending time with my family and traveling. These interests enrich my practice and keep me connected to the latest in mental well-being.

If you're ready for a transformative journey, reach out for a consultation. Let's create the life you

Martha is incredible! She's caring and kind! I love that she has a psychological background and uses that as a basis for her coaching. I'm so happy I found her!

Martha's coaching style is genuine, friendly, and solutions focused. She was always present and engaged in the conversation with compassion and care that touched my heart. In her coaching Martha shared valuable tools and resources as well as reflections and feedback. I learned from Martha on a personal level and she inspired me to be more kind hearted, strong, and happy. I learned from her on a professional level to plan timed action steps, be organized, and be open to creativity and playfulness. Martha has a wonderful presence, an intuitive spirit, and an intellectual mind. I would recommend working with coach Martha on personal issues cause her background study is psychotherapy, she has a lot of life experience, and she cares about her clients. Also, I recommend working with her on professional issues cause she has vast knowledge about organization, time management, and technology.

Martha provided support during a career change and has a patient, kind and supportive approach which was extremely helpful when navigating these life changes. She also provided remote support during key decision making/planning points enabling me to research, decide, plan and meet goals.

Martha, is that special kind of human being who understands & encourages but doesn’t judge or criticise. She’s a great active listener & promotes the exploration of joy, self-belief & compassion in a way which shrouds one in comfort. She creates safety and is essentially trustworthy & loyal. She’s got a wonderful sense of humour, an infectious smile and is at all times ethical & highly professional in her craft. One of those rare people you occasionally meet who infuse you with an inner contentment, a peace and an assurance that it’s all going to be OK.
